RFU Level 3 Coaching Award 2019/20
The RFU’s Level 3 coaching course is open to any coaches who meet the pre requisites below and all those coaching children, schools and youth, player pathway and adult rugby in both the male and female game.
The course cost is £1000 (inc VAT) with applications via the online course booking system on a first come first served basis from a date to be announced.
Full payment must be made at the point of booking.
Bristol area
•Dates: 27 & 28 July / 15 December / 29 March 20
Twickenham area
•Dates: 6 & 7 July / 8 December / 5 April
Manchester area
•13 & 14 July / 12 January 20 / 1 Mach 20
You must be able to attend all four days to complete the course, which also involves season-long mentoring support, so you need to be actively coaching to complete the work.
This is a competency-based course and you will be assessed through observation of your coaching, small group work, eLearning, video evidence and the maintenance of an evidence portfolio.
During the course you will be required to film your coaching as part of the self-reflection and action planning process. If you do not meet all of the competencies required you may need to pay an additional fee to complete the course.
To be considered for this course you must meet the following pre requisites:
•Completed RFU level 2 coaching qualification (or UKCC equivalent)
•Actively coaching for the 2019/20 season (you will be assessed coaching your own players)
•Completed RFU Headcase online concussion awareness within the last 12 months
•Attended one of the following CPD courses in the previous 12 months:

RFU Level 4 Coaching Award 2019/20
The Level 4 Course in Coaching Rugby Union has been developed in line with UK Coaching Certificate (UKCC) criteria.
The course is postgraduate in nature and coaches on the course receive academic credit for achieving Level 4 in partnership with a higher education institution, which means it can be used towards further academic qualification.
